SWAT Director of Operations

Work with the customer and our employees to produce a quality product, when promised and at a fair price.

Continuous management of SWAT mobile repair services:

• Customer communication – new calls, emails, estimating (budget), and invoicing.

• Manpower allocation: plan/manage active and pending work schedule.

• Daily coordination with lead technician on estimating (budget), work progress, completion, and invoicing.

• Work scope estimating (budget) with lead tech – hours, days, cost and repair details. Awareness of circumstances for estimating that could significantly affect job:
– FAA/OEM tech data or approval issues for aircraft type or repair scope
– Unique repair circumstances, processes, tooling or equipment
– Unusual customer, location or facility issues.

• Monitor job progress and labor hours/charges to budget.

• Materials support – minimize delays, monitor material charges to budget.

• Coordinate/monitor road and air travel, lodging and per diem – track charges to job and budget.

• Facilitate and approve tool and equipment purchases.

• Track overall job progress to estimate/budget.

• Invoicing of work performed to budget and actual costs.

Daily reporting of SWAT operations to Regional managers and staff via email

Manage Operations Assistant administrative support of these activities.

Weekly communication with President, SWAT

Periodic financial review with President, SWAT

Develop/monitor key performance goals: administrative policies that result in productive and efficient maintenance operations.

Responsible for maintenance and condition of SWAT office facility and property

Hiring/interviewing, Personnel management

Software Experience:
• MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, Sharepoint. Desktop and online versions
• LogMRO work order program.
• Exaktime time keeping
• Quickbooks

Closely coordinate with Director of Quality and promote “quality culture”. Act in place of DoQ when DoQ is out of office.

Director of Quality Assurance
(Accountable Manager)

The Director of Quality Assurance is responsible for the quality functions for the SWAT FAA Part 145 repair station and acting as the liaison with the FAA. This includes establishing quality standards, practices, policies, and procedures. Implements innovative quality practices that have a positive impact on achieving organizational goals.

The Director of Quality Assurance is also the Accountable Manager for the repair station. He is responsible for the and with authority over all repair station operations. He is the primary contact with the FAA.

Repair Station Duties:
• Has a thorough knowledge of the local FSDO/PMI relationship and all applicable FAR’s, and the repair station and quality manual (RSM/QCM).

• FAA repair station Operations Specification.

• FAA repair station operational documents.

• Control and directs the QA department, inspectors, and inspection function.

• SWAT repair station RSM/QCM manual.

• SWAT capabilities list, to include addition of new maintenance capabilities and the periodic audit of same.

• FAA/DOT Part 120 Drug & Alcohol Testing Program through our third-party consortium. Maintains all records for repair station employees.

• SWAT repair station Training Program and maintains all training records.

• SWAT repair station Tool Calibration Program, test equipment and records.

• Repair station record keeping requirements.

• Ensures that all technical data used for repair station maintenance is current.

• All repair station personnel rosters include management, supervisory, inspection and technician.

• Vendor on site audits and repair station monthly internal audits.

• Repair station receiving inspection requirements.

• Administers and maintains all new employee repair station forms.

Additional Duties:
• Oversees the Material Control Department. Responsible for the purchase, distribution, and housing of materials used for the repair station per the RSM/QCM.

• Oversees the responsibility of the material control agent.

• Responsible for the implementation of the material quarantine and scrap parts program.

• Acts as the back up to the Director of Operations in their absence.

Computer Programs:
• Microsoft Office 365, Share Point, Outlook, Excel, Log MRO work order program.
